Their fans are pleased to hear the news, including Alia and Ranbir's friends, family, and industry people.

Actor Randhir Kapoor, the older brother of Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor, recently chatted with ETimes and became emotional. He said, “We are all very happy and overwhelmed. This is a moment of great joy for both families and I would like to give lots of love and blessings to the newest member of our family."

Randhir reassured that mom and baby were healthy by saying, “Alia and Ranbir have brought us immense happiness. They are our children and we love them very dearly. I am very happy that they have been blessed with a daughter. My love and blessings to Ranbir and Alia. My brother Rishi Kapoor must be delighted in heaven. We Kapoors want everyone to be happy.”

In addition, Randhir Kapoor said how much he missed Rishi Kapoor on this particular day. Rishi Kapoor lost his fight with cancer and died in the year 2020.

Meanwhile, Alia’s dad, Mahesh Bhatt talked to HT and shared his emotions on the good news. He was overcome with emotion and said, “It is overwhelming to taste the ceaseless flow of life. It was just yesterday when Alia was a little baby who I carried in my arms. Now, she is a mumma to a baby girl. Today, when my overwhelmed wife Soni called me from the hospital, she said, ‘Oh, she is born’. I cannot put into words the manner in which she communicated those few words. There was an ocean of emotion coursing through that voice.”

He added, “It was an attempt to build a smile, there was a relief, a sense of wonder. Moments like this are called watershed moments by human culture. It only leaves you with the deepened feeling of this sense of mystery about life”.

Ranbir and Alia tied the knot at an intimate ceremony at their residence on April 14 this year after being in a relationship for five years. The two reportedly fell in love on the sets of their hit film 'Brahmastra'.
