New Delhi: Suhana Khan as the brand ambassador of beauty brand Maybelline created quite a stir among netizens. Many trolled the young star, who is about to make her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies', for getting the deal because of her father, Shah Rukh Khan's super stardom. Many observed on social media that Suhana Khan had done nothing yet in her career to deserve to be a face of the beauty brand. However, according to Alaya F, Suhana 'totally deserved' to be the face of the brand.
In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kanan, Alaya said, "People often forget that at the end of the day, whether it's brands or films,it's a business and decisions are made with thought. Lineage is not something that should be discarded and treated lightly. Lineage takes a lot of effort to build. All you have to do is live up to it. So it happens to everyone. Especially when you come from a family that's just in the spotlight but I think you just have to do your best to live up to all the wonderful opportunities and make the most of it.”
She added, "No one does anything just like that. There is obviously thought and value that was brought on by her being a part of it. So in whatever way, it was totally deserved. You can't blame someone for the opportunities that they get, you just have to hope that they make the most of it.”
Suhana Khan is also all set to enter Bollywood as an actor with a Netflix film by Zoya Akhtar. She is all set to play the role of Veronica in the Indian adaptation of the iconic Archies comics. Produced by Tiger Baby and Graphic India, The Archies is a coming-of-age story, the film will tell the story of Riverdale and its teenagers in a new India. Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor is also set to make her debut with 'The Archies'.
Meanwhile, Alaya F will be seen in the ZEE5 film 'U-Turn' produced by Ekta Kapoor. Alaya was last seen in 'Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat' with Karan Mehta. The Anurag Kashyap film was appreciated by critics and especially Alaya's work was appreciated by all.
'U-Turn' will be released on April 24, 2023.
