Dimple Kapadia Speaks About Working In Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet': It Was A Beautiful Dream For Me
As ‘Tenet’ released in India on December 4, director Christopher Nolan penned down a note for the ‘Bobby’ actress which read, ‘Dimple, What can I say? Working with you has been a delight. Watching you bring Priya to life all around the world has been fantastic. Thank you for your great skill and hard work, and for lending your talent to Tenet.’
Taking to his Twitter, Dimple’s son-in-law, Akshay Kumar, shared his ‘proud son-in-law’ as he tweeted the note shared by Nolan from his official account.
The ‘Atrangi Re’ actor’s tweet read, “Here’s my proud son-in-law moment! #ChristopherNolan pens a heartfelt note to #DimpleKapadia on the eve of their release.Had I been in her place,I wouldn’t have been able to move in awe but having watched her working her magic in #Tenet,I couldn’t be more happy and proud of Ma”
Speaking about her experience of working with the ‘Inception’ director, Dimple said that working with Nolan has been a life-changing experience for her and it felt like a beautiful dream. She told IANS, “My takeaway (after working in the film) is a hell of a lot. It has completely changed my mental make-up. It has made me more confident, wanting to do better roles, work more, and made me more positive. It has made me believe in myself finally -- Nolan ke saath kaam kiya hai (have worked with Nolan)! It is a beautiful dream that has come true.”
The ‘Cocktail’ actress further added, “I was hesitating to do the film because I was not comfortable with myself and my capabilities but after doing a Nolan film, I didn't have to worry because he takes care of everything.”
Nolan, who is best known for his high concept, big-budget movies such as ‘The Dark Knight’ series, ‘The Prestige’, ‘Inception’ and ‘Interstellar’, had generated a lot of buzz with his decision to cast the Bollywood star in the movie, which was partially shot in Mumbai. The movie was originally scheduled to release in July this year but got postponed several times due to the ongoing pandemic.
