New Delhi: In December, Jin, the oldest member of the Korean boy band BTS, is expected to report for his military service. J-Hope, a member of Jin's group, gave him a thoughtful treat before he left, and the fans were filled with emotion.
The BTS vocalist posted pictures on Weverse while posing with a colorful cake. "Cake designed by J-Hope," he captioned the images as he shared them.
A Twitter user who goes by the name miiniyoongs shared the details of the cake. "Words written in white on green portion: (jeonyeok) = discharge (from military service), words written in red on white portion: jyan, words written in white on pink portion: (nae chingu) = my friend," the tweet read.
Several reports stated that there will be an event where Kim Seokjin will see his fans and bid them farewell before starting his nearly two-year military service. However, debunking these rumours, the superband's management business, Big Hit, posted a statement on the Korean social media site Weverse denying that such an event will take place.
"Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment. The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts," the statement read.
"We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back. Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time," it concluded.
