2022 did not start on a great note for TV actors Sharad Malhotra and Srishty Rode as both of them tested positive for coronavirus. 
Sharad who is currently a part of TV show 'Vidrohi' has contracted COVID-19.



Confirming Sharad's diagnosis, the show's makers issued a statement. "Sharad Malhotra who is an integral part of the show Vidrohi has tested positive for COVID-19 today. Currently, Sharad is "receiving medical attention and is under home quarantine.


Meanwhile, ex Bigg Boss contestant Srishty Rode took to Instagram Story and gave her health update.



"I have been tested positive! Have home quarantined myself with mild symptoms. I request everyone who came in touch with me in the last few days to please get yourself tested," she wrote.



However, she deleted the post a few hours later.


Srishty was recently seen partying with actors Ankita Lokhande, Ashita Dhawan, and Mishthi Tyagi among others.


Earlier on Wednesday, Erica Fernandes, star of the TV show "Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi", confirmed that she and her mother have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.



In her Instagram post, the 28-year-old actor also cautioned fans and followers about home test kits for COVID-19, which she claimed were "not reliable at all". The "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" actor further assured fans that she and her mother were "isolated and under medical care".


"I would like to request those who have come in contact with us in the past week to please get yourself tested. Much love," Fernandes said.
