Mumbai: A fierce fire broke out on the sets of ‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘Adipurush’. The fire caught at around 4 pm in the evening and the set which was on the Retro ground of the Malad area of Mumbai got completely burnt. Around 50-60 people were present at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The fire team quickly reached the spot and controlled the fire.

No lead actors were present when the accident took place. In this period film, actors Prabhas will be seen portraying the role of Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan will be seen illustrating the role of Ravana. The shooting of this high-budget movie started earlier today.


A source associated with the co-producer company T-Series of this film, while talking to ABP News, said that the film was being shot on the Chroma background and some scenes were to be screened through VFX. The source revealed, “The reason for the fire is a short circuit. During the shooting of this film, Marathi actor Surya and director Om Raut were present. None of the crew present during the shooting has suffered any injuries. Everybody was taken out of the set as soon as the fire broke out.”


The source also told ABP News that the shooting with the lead actors of the film - Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and the rest of the cast was scheduled to begin from February 12 to 15.


'Adipurush' director Om Raut had earlier made a superhit film 'Tanhaji' with Ajay Devgan, which was his first Hindi film. ABP News also tried to contact Om Raut, who was on the set during this fire incident, but we had not received any response from him till the time of writing the news.
