New Delhi: Ahead of forming the new government on May 30, PM Narendra Modi met officers and staff of the Prime Minister's Office on Saturday and thanked them for their five years of hard work. Modi had met a batch of officers on Friday in South Block and today as well reiterated that “the expectations from this Government are immense and so are the exceptions from the PMO.” He added that it is the duty of the PMO to rise to the occasion and deliver on these expectations.

“The pressure has increased due to trust and expectation of people in us. We didn't divert from our dedication in last five years," Modi told the PMO staff.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Gujarat Sunday evening to seek the blessings of his mother after his BJP-led NDA returned to power with a massive majority in the Lok Sabha elections.


On May 27, he will be in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha seat he retained in the polls by a mammoth margin of 4.79 lakh votes.

"Will be going to Gujarat tomorrow evening, to seek blessings of my Mother. Day after tomorrow morning, I will be in Kashi to thank the people of this great land for reposing their faith in me," the prime minister tweeted this morning.
