New Delhi: With just a day left for the seven-phase Uttar Pradesh assembly elections to kick-start, the Congress party is set to release its election manifesto for the state. Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is likely to release her party manifesto in Lucknow at 12.00 pm today, said the official twitter handle of the Indian National Congress (INC).






A fierce battle is already on between the Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajwadi Party and the Congress to come to power in the electorally crucial state of Uttar Pradesh. The Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have organised several rallies and door-to-door meetings to woo the voters. The BJP and the Samajwadi Party have been even more aggressive in their election campaign. 


Keeping up the tempo, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hold five rallies in Rampur, Moradabad and Bareilly today. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will also hold nine public meetings in Rampur district. 





Meanwhile, campaigning for the first phase of assembly polls in jat-dominated western Uttar Pradesh ended on Tuesday. Eleven districts that include Hapur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Shamli, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut,  Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Agra and Mathura will vote on February 10.


Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2022 will be held in seven phases - February 10, February 14, February 20,February 25,, February 27, March 3 and March 7. The counting of the votes will be done on March 10.
