Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy alleged the farmers of the state have suffered for the past 10 years under the KCR government. He added that the first-time voters of the state will change that now and the Congress will form a government with a two-third majority. He also alleged that the BRS, BJP and AIMIM are working together in this election to defeat Congress.
Reddy while talking to the media said, "I am going to cast my vote now. For 10 years, under the KCR Government, the farmers of the state suffered. With this election, my greatest expectation from the first-time voters is that they will take the future of Telangana ahead...Congress will make all efforts to fulfill people's expectations. The party will form the government with a 2/3rd majority. Telangana experienced a lot of changes after the Bharat Jodo Yatra. BRS-BJP-AIMIM are trying to defeat Congress together."
Earlier in the day, the state chief and his wife Geetha performed Gau Pujan at their residence in Kodangal, Vikarabad. Reddy was seen feeding the cow and taking 'Parikrama' around her.
The voting began on Thursday at 7 am and till 9 am, the voter turnout stood at just 8.52 per cent.
The people of Telangana will now decide the fate of 2,990 candidates in this election.
