Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during his address in Medak on Sunday. The Prime Minister said that KCR had to run from his seat and contest the upcoming State Assembly Elections from another seat due to the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and its candidate Etela Rajender. He said another reason for KCR to contest from a different seat is the anger of the farmers and the poor.

KCR is an MLA from the Gajwel seat and will contest the Nov 30 elections from this constituency and Kamareddy. He will be having a direct contest with Congress state chief Revanth Reddy in Kamareddy.

PM Modi during his address said, "Telangana CM considers (the state) as his property. Why did KCR need to contest from another seat? Why did he have to go there? Congress' Rahul Gandhi also had to leave Amethi and run away to Kerala. KCR also had to run away. One of the major reasons for this is BJP candidate Etela Rajender and the other reason is the anger of the farmers and the poor."

Continuing his attack on the Telangana CM, the PM said, "KCR promised to give schemes but he gave only scams. Instead of working for your children, he worked for his children and his relatives. He did scams worth crores of rupees and increased his wealth. The farmers of Telangana have decided to permanently send him to his farmhouse."

PM Modi further said that the state is moving forward with just one resolution which is that for the first time, they will elect a BJP government to power. He said, "This time Telangana is moving forward with only one resolution that for the first time, the BJP government will be formed here. Lotus will bloom in Telangana."
