The Indian National Congress on Monday unveiled its third list of candidates for the upcoming Telangana assembly elections, featuring State unit chief Revanth Reddy, who will contest against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from the Kamareddy assembly constituency. This is the second seat on which Revanth Reddy, the sitting Member of Parliament from the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency, will be competing.

In this latest list, the Congress has made two replacements among the previously declared candidates. Ade Gajender will now represent the Boath-ST seat, taking the place of Vannela Ashok, while Tudi Megha Reddy has been fielded from Wanaparthy, replacing Gillela Chinna Reddy, who had been nominated earlier.

With this announcement, the Congress has just three more candidates to reveal as it strives to challenge the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for power in the southern state.

Revanth Reddy will also vie for the Kodangal assembly seat, adding to his electoral presence in the upcoming polls. Meanwhile, Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has been selected to represent the Madhira-SC seat. The candidates for these particular constituencies were previously disclosed on October 15.

The party has also chosen to field its sitting Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, for the Huzurnagar assembly constituency. Notably, Reddy currently represents the Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat in Telangana.

Notably, the Telangana Congress chief held a roadshow in Kodangal earlier today after filing his nomination.

The Telangana assembly elections are scheduled to take place on November 30, with the vote counting set for December 3.
