New Delhi: Congress President Rahul Gandhi launched an attack on BJP and the caretaker TRS government on Wednesday in a poll rally in Telangana ahead of the December 7 elections.

Gandhi is on a two-day tour in Telangana. He is slated to address two public meetings at Kosgi and Madhira. There are also corner meetings scheduled at Sanat Nagar and Nampally.

Addressing a rally in Kosgi, Gandhi dubbed TRS as BJP’s B team and said: “TRS is the "B team" of the Sangh Parivar and BJP. TRS is not Telangana Rashtra Samiti, it's Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Parivar.”

Attacking caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), Gandhi said that five years ago, people of Telangana had hoped for a new Telangana but KCR shattered all those dreams. “You had dreamt of Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakaalu. People believed that CM KCR will fulfil their dreams and this trust was broken by KCR Govt", said Gandhi.

Hitting out at KCR and his son, Gandhi said: “every person in Telangana has ₹60,000 debt on them, but KCR's son's income has increased by 400%.”

Gandhi said that CM KCR had promised 22 lakh houses but only 5000 were built. He also failed to fulfill the promise of land to SC/ST communities, he said.

“KCR government promised 1 lakh jobs. But how many jobs did he really create? He has only employed his family and stole the future of 4 crore people” said Gandhi.

“Our coalition government will fulfill all these promises”, he said. Our top priority is to create jobs and we will also provide ₹3000 unemployment allowance, he said.

He also announced Rs1 lakh grant to every Self Help Group and allocation of Rs 500 crore women entrepreneurs.

Telangana will go to polls on December 7, 2018 for its 119 assembly seats. The Telangana Assembly Election 2018 will take place in single phase. Counting of votes would be taken up on December 11.
