Former Bihar Deputy CM and leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Tejashwi Yadav, along with other party leaders, on Friday launched the 'Parivartan Patra' manifesto ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at the release event, Yadav said that the party is committed to fulfilling the 24 promises outlined in the manifesto. He claimed that the manifesto focuses on crucial developmental issues for Bihar.


"Today, we have released our 'Parivartan Patra'. We are bringing 24 promises in 2024, which is our commitment that we will fulfil. It has a lot of important issues regarding the development of Bihar," Tejashwi said. 






 


Yadav stated that if his government is voted to power they would start providing jobs in the entire country from August 15. He further announced his government would provide 1 crore jobs across the country.


Apart from this, he announced giving gas cylinders for Rs 500. RJD, in its manifesto, said that it would give special state status to Bihar. He, further on behalf of his party, said that from this Rakshabandhan, if his party comes to power, would give Rs 1 lakh to poor women and also promised to provide 200 units of electricity free.


Ahead of the manifesto release, RJD wrote on X, “Wait till tomorrow morning, Tejashwi will give very good news.”


'24 Promises For 2024'



  • 1 Crore job promise for youth. "Freedom from unemployment will start from August 15," the RJD manifesto said.

  • Rs 1 lakh promised for poor women from upcoming Rakshabandhan.

  • RJD, if voted to power, will provide gas cylinders for Rs 500.

  • The old pensions scheme will be implemented, RJD Promised in its manifesto. 

  • Special state status to Bihar.

  • Special package for Bihar. 

  • Agniveer scheme will be discontinued.

  • Promise to make 5 new airports in Bhagalpur, Purnia, Raxaul, Muzaffarpur and Gopalganj.

  • Implementation of the remaining recommendations of the Mandal Commission.

  • RJD promised to implement the right to health.

  • 200 units of free electricity will be given if RJD comes to power. 

  • MSP will be given on 10 crops.

  • Paramilitary forces will be given martyr status if they die while on duty.
