Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday posted a video of himself where he is seen playing audio of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's old video (claimed to be of a poll rally when BJP was in opposition) in which he can be heard talking about inflation and government's (that time UPA administration led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh) negligence towards it.
Posting the video, Tejwashi wrote in the caption: "Yesterday in the election meeting a friend brought Portable Bluetooth Speaker to me. What is in it? You should also listen to it and make others listen to it. The public is now listening to and telling the Prime Minister the promises made in 10 years on Speaker."
"So many lies have been told that it is now beyond comprehension. These people can say and do anything to divert the attention of the public. One should not lie so much while being in such a high position in public life. Say only what you can do," he added.
In the video, PM Modi can be heard saying, "It is their ego (might be referring to the UPA government led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh) that they are not ready to utter a single word on inflation in the public domain."
"They don't care if food is being cooked in your homes, they don't care if your children are being fed," the PM said in the video that Tejwashwi played. He can be heard making a poll-promise that if his party is voted to power he will be providing a particular package for the poor families.
Earlier in the day, former Bihar CM targetted PM Modi over a recent row that erupted around reservations. He said PM Modi honoured former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, eyeing the OBC vote bank, but rejected his views and beliefs.
