Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (July 8) held a massive roadshow in the Rajasthan city of Bikaner, amid much fanfare, enthusiastic support, and heavy rain. The streets of Bikaner came alive with cheering crowds and well-wishers as the Prime Minister embarked on this momentous event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Congress on Saturday, calling it a "loot ki dukaan" and a "jhooth ka bazaar," and declaring that the party's government in Rajasthan is clearly on its way out. The prime minister claimed that the Ashok Gehlot government had created a new identity for itself in terms of corruption, crime, and appeasement politics.

Modi said at an election rally in Bikaner that Rajasthan should have been at the forefront of 'Jal Jeevan Mission' implementation, but it is now among the laggard states, PTI reported. Coming down hard on Congress, he said that if it remains in power, it hollows out the country, and if it loses power, it defames the country by abusing it.
"In terms of rape cases, Rajasthan ranks first in the country." The situation has evolved to the point where the protectors have become the predators. "The entire government here appears to be preoccupied with rescuing rape and murder suspects," Modi was quoted as saying by PTI. "Their leaders go abroad and abuse India," he added.
The public is angry with the Rajasthan government, and when that happens, those in power are quickly deposed, according to Modi. "The Congress' defeat in Rajasthan is so certain that the state government has already entered a 'bye-bye mode,'" he said.
During his visit to Bikaner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the six-lane greenfield motorway section of the Amritsar-Jammu and Kashmir Economic Corridor.
This section in Rajasthan, built at a cost of around Rs. 11,125 crore, spans over 500 kilometres, running from village Jakhdawali in Hanumangarh district to village Khetlawas in Jalore district.
