After Congress leader and recently nominated candidate from Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi called Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Dwarka in Gujarat where he offered underwater prayers a 'Drama', BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla hit out at him saying, "They (Congress) have not just come out with a Muslim League manifesto, but their manifestation is also like the Muslim League. The anti-Hindu hatred in their manifestation is now obvious."
Talking about the PM's visit to Dwarka and battering Congress for criticising it, Shehzad Poonawalla said: "The anti-Hindu face of the Congress has been exposed. On one hand, the PM, a Krishna devotee, goes to Dwarka and offers prayers under the sea. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi mocks it and calls it a drama."
BJP national spokesperson questioned Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav's silence on Rahul Gandhi's remarks and added: "Recently, Kharge ji was creating a rift between Ram and Shiva devotees... Statements like 'Sanatan is a disease', all of this is coming from Congress and its allies. After opposing PM Modi, the Congress is now opposing Lord Krishna... Those who call themselves 'Yaduvanshi' like Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, why are they silent?"
A few days ago PM Modi himself had taken a jibe at Rahul Gandhi for mocking his underwater prayer at Dwarka, saying that the "Congress' Shehzada mocked his pooja at Dwarka for vote bank politics".
What Did Rahul Gandhi Say?
Previosuly, Rahul Gandhi had slammed PM Modi for performing an underwater puja in the remains of the ancient submerged Dwarka city, alleging that important issues like unemployement and inflation were being ignored.
"Kabhi Pakistan ki baat karega kabhi samundar ke neeche jaake drama karega...mazaak bana rakha hai rajneeti ka" (Sometimes he speakes about Pakistan, sometimes he goes under water to do drama...he has mocked politics), Rahul Gandhi said at the rally.
He also claimed that TV channels focus solely on PM Modi's activities, such as his underwater puja, instead of talking about the issues of farmers, unemployment, inflation, and agniveers.
PM Modi Offers Under Water Prayers In Dwarka
Earlier this year in February, Prime Minister Modi visited Dwarka in Gujarat where he offered underwater prayers in the submerged city of Dwarka, and called it a "divine experience".
"To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all," he shared on X after his visit.
