'Did You See Her On Television?' Rahul Gandhi Claims Prez Murmu Not Allowed To Enter Ram Temple

Pitching his party's manifesto, Gandhi outlined Congress's promises, including a legal guarantee for MSP, social security for gig workers, and a Rs 5,000 crore fund for startups.

Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi, speaking at Congress' Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, on Thursday said that all affluent people were in attendance during the Ram Temple Inauguration event in Ayodhya, "But did anybody see President Murmu?". He further said that a "message was conveyed to her that you may be the President but you won't be allowed to enter the Ram temple".

"No poor, unemployed, farmer, or labourers was there at the inauguration. There are two India, one is of 5% and one is of the rest," Gandhi said.  

In a rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, Gandhi emphasised his party's commitment to providing "a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP)," which is already included in their manifesto. He also spoke about the underrepresentation of Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs, and minorities in institutions and budgets, claiming that they account for roughly 90% of India's population.

While addressing the gathering, Gandhi said, "In our manifesto, we included a legal guarantee for the MSP. Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs, and minorities make up approximately 90% of India's population".

During his address in Rajasthan's Banswara, Gandhi pledged to fill 30 lakh vacant government posts if Congress comes to power. He called for an "x-ray" of the socio-economic landscape to understand "fund allocation, organisational control, and representation across sectors".

Pitching his party's manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi outlined Congress's promises, including a legal guarantee for MSP, social security for gig workers, and a Rs 5,000 crore fund for startups.

As his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra heads to Gujarat, the Congress faces challenges with recent defections, including veteran leader Arjun Modhwadia, who joined the BJP along with another MLA and a party working president.

Notably, the departure of Arvind Ladani, the Congress MLA from Manavadar, marked the fourth sitting legislator to leave the party since the 2022 Assembly elections, reducing the party's strength in the Assembly to 13. Despite these setbacks, Rahul Gandhi continues his yatra, addressing key issues and making promises for reform.
