After the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday invalidated all Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates issued in West Bengal after 2010, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 23 slammed the Trinamool Congress-led government over it during an election rally in Haryana's Bhiwani.

PM Modi said: "In West Bengal, they have issued OBC certificates to Muslims overnight and that too to infiltrators. The High Court has invalidated all the OBC certificates issued to Muslims in the last 10-12 years..."

Earlier today, BJP came down heavily at the Mamata Banerjee-led government saying that the judgement passed by the Calcutta High Court showed how the TMC government in Bengal was taking the appeasement forward in an unconstitutional manner.

BJP National President JP Nadda, while training guns at TMC stated that the party was taking the "Muslim agenda forward" and asserted no one was above the law.

"PM Modi had raised this issue during the election campaigns- how Mamata Banerjee, Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of the INDI alliance are shredding the constitution," Nadda added.

PM Modi Slams Congress For 'Demeaning Military'

During the election rally in Bhiwani, PM Modi also slammed the Congress for demeaning the Army, mentioning how it was also done by the grand old party in the past.

"...'1962 mein, pandit Nehru ke aura ka gubbara jo phoot gya, China ke haathon jo hamari pitaayi huyi', they (Congress) held our military responsible for that defeat. That family even today keep looking for opportunities to demean our military. And in a sense of revenge, they have thrown Rs 500 and said that OROP (One Rank One Pension) will be done. Modi has told that what it means to implement OROP," the Prime Minister said while criticising the Congress.
