Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects during his visit to Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on Thursday (October 5). Projects worth Rs 12,600 crore will be launched in Madhya Pradesh, while Rs 5,000 crore worth of projects will be initiated in Rajasthan. These initiatives encompass a wide range of sectors including road, rail, aviation, health, higher education, housing, and clean drinking water.
PM Modi In Rajasthan:
PM Modi will lay the groundwork for a 350-bed trauma centre and critical care hospital block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur, in Rajasthan. In addition, the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission will establish seven critical care blocks across the state. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's office, the trauma centre alone is expected to cost more than Rs 350 crore.
In addition, the Prime Minister will invest Rs 480 crore in the construction of a cutting-edge terminal building at the Jodhpur airport. According to the statement, the IIT Jodhpur campus, which cost more than Rs 1,135 crore, will also be dedicated to the nation, reinforcing the commitment to high-quality education and cutting-edge research.
PM Modi In Madhya Pradesh:
In Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi will launch the Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts, with a combined worth of over Rs 2,350 crore, according to the statement. A drinking water project under the same mission in Seoni district will also be inaugurated. These projects are anticipated to benefit approximately 1,575 villages across the state.
Road infrastructure development projects, with a cumulative cost of about Rs 1,475 crore, will see their foundation stones laid by the Prime Minister. Two new train services will be flagged off as well. Additionally, a light house project in Indore, constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban and costing about Rs 128 crore, will benefit over 1,000 beneficiary families, aligning with the vision of "housing for all," as per the statement.
According to the statement, PM Modi will also dedicate to the nation rail projects worth more than Rs 1,850 crore and a 352-kilometer-long Vijaipur-Auraiyan-Phulpur pipeline project worth more than Rs 1,750 crore. Several other development projects are scheduled to be inaugurated during this visit, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan" in Jabalpur, named after the brave queen known for her valiant struggle against the Mughals.
