Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Wednesday that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was against the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Congress had also done nothing about it while it was in power.


In an effort to garner support for BJP candidate Sanjeev Baliyan ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Shah spoke to a public gathering in Muzaffarnagar. He claimed that the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya was made possible by the Narendra Modi government., PTI reported.


He went on to highlight the efforts of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh in curbing the migration of individuals from western Uttar Pradesh, indicating that it is now criminals who are relocating.

Furthermore, Shah noted the widespread support received by the Modi government for the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.


Accompanying Shah at the rally, Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chaudhary commended the government for posthumously conferring the Bharat Ratna upon Chaudhary Charan Singh. Chaudhary pointed out that there was not a single utterance of any words from the INDIA bloc regarding Chaudhary Charan Singh's recognition of the Bharat Ratna.

Similarly, Shah outlined all the major achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his public rally in Rajasthan's Jodhpur on April 1. During the speech, Shah assured that if Narendra Modi becomes PM again, he would definitely make India the world's third-largest economy.


Attacking the Congress, he stated that although the old party has ignored the Ram Temple issue for seventy years, Prime Minister Modi not only laid the temple's foundation stone on January 22 but also performed the "Pran Pratistha."


Along with Congress, Shah also takes a dig at the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, saying "No matter how many parties you gather, only Modi is going to come," PTI reported.
