Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday promised to restore statehood to Jammu & Kashmir. Speaking at an election campaign rally in Katra in the Reasi district, he also accused the Opposition of trying to bring back bloodshed in Kashmir by reversing the abrogation of Article 370.

"They [Opposition] are saying that they will bring back Article 370 here. They want to bring back the era of bloodshed... Pakistan seems happy with the manifesto of the Congress and the National Conference. Pakistan's Defence Minister has openly supported it. The agenda of Congress and NC is the same as that of Pakistan," PM Modi said.

PM Modi attacked the Congress, the NC, and the PDP, saying Kashmir today hosts global events like G20, sports car race, and International Yoga Day, but the Opposition wants to go back to the bygone era. 'Kashmiri Hindus Driven Out Of Their Homes By Three Families'

PM Modi said the Kashmiri Pandit community played a big role in promoting the spirit of Kashmiriyat, but the 'three families' [Abdullahs, Muftis, and Gandhis] had driven them out of their homes with their selfish politics. "Sikh families were tortured. The three families were responsible for the atrocities committed against Kashmiri Hindus and Sikhs. Congress, NC, and PDP have only divided. BJP is uniting people," PM Modi said.
