NEW DELHI: With just a few days left to the Lok Sabha election 2019, ABP News's Rubika Liyaquat and Sumit Awasthi conducted PM Narendra Modi interview where he was asked about the Varanasi seat. In the elections, Modi will contest the Lok Sabha election from Varanasi, the constituency he represents in the Parliament.
ABP News asked PM Modi, "Why did you choose Benaras? What is your special attachment in the city?
PM Modi said “I do not make that decision. I have never made any decisions about my life. I always remain dedicated to the organization. I do whatever the organization decides and at that time the people of the organization felt that I should contest 2014 Lok Sabah elections from Varanasi.”
PM further said that Dr Murli Manohar Joshi had done a great job there. Earlier, Murli Manohar Joshi was BJP’s sitting MP from Varanasi.

ABP News asked PM Modi, "Will you fight from Varanasi seat only, will you not fight with the second seat for Lok Sabha election?
Responding to this, Narendra Modi said, "The party has declared me a candidate from Varanasi. I will also have to ask for the date of enrollment. I will go that day. "
PM said, "Modi will win or lose the election, this is the decision of the people.”
Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 11 and continue for over a month till May 19 across seven phases, followed by counting of votes on May 23.
The polling will be held on April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19 for 543 Lok Sabha seats across the country in which nearly 90 crore voters would be eligible to vote.
