Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stone of the Hindu shrine Kalki Dham in Sambhal. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi stated: "Today, from the land of Uttar Pradesh and birthplace of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, a new stream of devotion and spirituality is eager to flow. Today, foundation stone of another holy shrine is being laid by spiritual practices of saints and feelings of public. I am confident that Kalki Dham will emerge as another great centre of the Indian faith."






"As Acharya was saying, this event has been possible after 18 years of waiting. I would like to say that there are many good deeds that many have left for me to achieve. With the blessing of all saints and citizens, all of them that have been left will be achieved in the future as well," he further stated. 


Paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji, PM Modi stated: "Today is also the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, hence this day becomes more sacred and more inspiring...On this occasion, I respectfully bow at the feet of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and pay tribute to him."


Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust Chairman Acharya Pramod Krishnam also attended the ceremony. 






At the foundation stone laying ceremony of Hindu shrine Kalki Dham in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath stated: "Following the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the construction of the Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, the PM has arrived here (Sambhal). In the last 10 years, we have seen a new India. The country is moving ahead on the path of development."






Later in the day, he will attend a ground-breaking ceremony in Lucknow, unveiling development projects worth over Rs 10 lakh crore. These initiatives intend to create 33.5 lakh jobs in the state, with a primary concentration on manufacturing, renewable energy, information technology, housing, and real estate. These efforts stem from Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) inked during the UP Global Investors Summit last year, which witnessed investment bids worth Rs 40 lakh crore.


"As many as 14,000 projects with an estimated investment size of approximately Rs 10 lakh crore are ready for implementation. These projects will help create 33.50 lakh employment opportunities," Uttar Pradesh industrial and infrastructure development minister Nand Gopal Gupta told PTI.


"Of the Rs 10 lakh crore, maximum investments are coming up in sunrise sectors like manufacturing (21 per cent), renewable energy (13 per cent), IT and ITeS (9 per cent), food processing (6 per cent), housing & real estate (6 per cent), hospitality and entertainment (3 per cent), education (3 per cent) etc," he said.


PM Modi will travel from Sambhal to Lucknow to attend the fourth groundbreaking ceremony of the UP Global Investors Summit.

Around 1:45 p.m., the prime minister will unveil 14,000 projects in Uttar Pradesh worth more than Rs 10 lakh crore at the fourth groundbreaking ceremony for investment proposals submitted during the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 (UPGIS 2023).
