PM In Amroha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress and the Samajwadi Party, saying that the state of Uttar Pradesh has again rejected the "shooting of a film starring two princes" (referring to Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi). He said that these parties leave no opportunity to "attack our faith". Prime Minister accused the opposition alliance of "abusing" the Ram Mandir and Sanatana faith every day. His remarks came while he was addressing a poll rally in UP's Amroha.

Once again the shooting of a film starring two princes is going on in UP which has already been rejected. Every time these people set out to ask for votes from the people of UP carrying the basket of nepotism, corruption, and appeasement. In their campaign, these people leave no opportunity to attack our faith. The Congress candidate from here has difficulty even saying 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. When Ram temple was built in Ayodhya, both SP and Congress parties rejected the invitation for Pran Pratishtha,“ he said.

“These people are abusing Ram Mandir and Sanatana faith every day. Recently, a grand Surya Tilak of Lord Ramlala has been done on Ram Navami. Today, when the whole country is filled with the devotion of Lord Ram, the people of Samajwadi Party publicly call the devotees of Lord Ram as hypocrites,” PM Modi added.

Asking them (Samajwadis) why they align with those (Congress) who show “no faith in Lord Krishna”, PM Modi said, if you are ‘Yaduvanshi’ (According to Vedic literature, the Yaduvanshis or Yadavs are the descendants of Lord Krishna), why are you in alliance with the party that has no “faith in the existence of Dwarkadhish”.

Citing his visit to Dwarka recently, PM said, “I went to perform rituals in Dwarka, where studies and academicians have revealed that the whole ancient Dwarka Nagari of Lord Krishna is under the sea. I went and performed puja there. But shehzada (referring to Rahul Gandhi) said there’s nothing to be worshipped beneath the sea.”

“I ask those who claim to be ‘Yaduvanshi’ why are you with people who have no faith in Lord Krishna,” PM Modi said at the Amroha rally.

Criticising the opposition alliances, PM Modi accused them of hindering rural progress. “Earlier governments in our country kept cheating SC/ST and OBC in the name of social justice. The dream that Jyotiba Phule had, the dream that Baba Saheb Ambedkar had, the dream which Chaudhary Charan Singh had, now Modi is fulfilling that dream of social justice,” Prime Minister Modi said.

Speaking to the crowd, PM Modi acknowledged the significance of the region which is renowned for its diligent farming communities. “The sugarcane farmers of Amroha can never forget how much they were harassed earlier for payments. But today, along with record purchases of sugarcane, record payments are also being made in the state.  When the SP government was in power, sugarcane farmers of Amroha were paid only Rs 500 crore on average per year. Whereas under CM Yogi's government, around Rs 1,500 crores has been paid to sugarcane farmers every year,” the PM said.

Further highlighting his government’s commitment to social justice PM Modi said, “BJP is moving ahead with a big vision and big goals for the villages and the poor. But the entire energy of the people of the INDI alliance is spent in making the villages and rural areas backward. Areas like Amroha and Western Uttar Pradesh have suffered the biggest loss due to this mentality...The BJP government is building textile parks to promote the textile industry in the country. The garment industry of Amroha will also benefit from this. This will create more and more employment”.

Addressing the local achievements, PM Modi praised cricketer Mohammed Shami, hailing stellar performance in the Cricket World Cup. “The whole world has seen the amazing feat done by Mohammed Shami (who belongs to Amroha) in the Cricket World Cup. The Central Govt has given the Arjuna Award to Mohammed Shami for his excellent performance in sports and CM Yogi's government has taken 2 steps forward and is also building a stadium for the youth here,” he said.

PM, during his address, commended the unique cultural heritage of Amroha, celebrating the recent granting of a Geographical Indication (GI) tag to the traditional ‘Dholak’ instrument. “I have just been given another identity of Amroha-Dholak and the beat of the Dholak resonates far and wide. With the efforts of CM Yogi Adityanath, the BJP government has recognized the 'Dholak' of Amroha all over the world by giving it a GI tag,” PM said.

As the first phase of Lok Sabha elections unfolded nationwide, PM Modi urged voters to fulfill their civic duty. “Today, the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 elections is taking place. This is a big day for the festival of democracy. I want to appeal to all the voters to use their rights and cast their votes,” Modi said.
