Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday halted his speech midway during a rally in Haryana's Gohana in Sonipat district after his attention was captured by a young boy standing on a chair.

The boy was holding a portrait of the PM Modi in his hands, which he had skteched himself. As PM Modi noticed the sketch made by him, he stopped his rally for a couple of minutes and asked him to hand it over to his security personnel.

He also asked the young boy to write his name behind the picture's frame before handing it over to the security personnel. He told him that he would soon write a letter to him.

"Bete, aap bahut badiya chitr bana k laye ho (Son, you have drawn a very good picture)," PM Modi told the boy.

Seeing him standing on the chair holding the framed sketch for a long time, PM Modi also said: "If you stand like that, you will get tired. Have you brought it for me? I will tell the SPG personnel to collect the picture from you. Do write your name and address at the back, I will write a letter to you."

The PM also thanked the boy for it and asked him to take his seat. He also prasied the boy on the stage saying that he had brought a wonderful picture.

Modi was addressing the rally while campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections scheduled for October 5. The counting of votes will be done on October 8 along with Jammu and Kashmir.
