Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a grand roadshow in Patna. Earlier today, PM Modi arrived at late BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi's residence in Patna and paid tribute to him.

This was the second time when the Prime Minister visited the Bihar capital in a week amid the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said PM Modi met the BJP workers and encouraged them. "The Prime Minister's visit to the office is a proud moment for the party workers," Choudhary said.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, "Prime Minister Modi is connected to the ground... He came to the office and boosted the morale of the workers...People's inclination towards BJP is increasing and the opposition is frustrated."

Thereafter, PM Modi went to the party's state headquarters and held deliberations with key functionaries ahead of the last couple of phases of the Lok Sabha polls.

PM Modi is scheduled to retire at the Raj Bhavan for the night and leave Tuesday morning for election rallies in Siwan and East Champaran districts. Elaborate security arrangements, including traffic restrictions, have been put in place across the city.

On May 12, PM Narendra Modi spearheaded a grand roadshow in Patna drawing an enormous crowd lined on both sides of the road.

Accompanying the prime minister were Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and BJP candidate from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The BJP is contesting altogether 17 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. Of these, eight will go to polls in the sixth and seventh phases of elections.
