New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath responded to the SP-BSP-RLD alliance rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj which was disrupted by a stray bull.  Referring to bull as Nandi (lord Shiva’s bull) Yogi took a dig at the alliance’s rally and said: “I came to know that in Kannauj, Nandi Baba entered the ground during alliance’s rally and showed his ferocious avatar to those who provided protection to illegal slaughter houses in Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh CM was addressing a rally in Shahjahanpur’s Nigohi on Saturday where he made the remark on the bull incidence.

A bull had entered the Mahagathbandhan rally in Kannauj recently and it took some chasing to get the bull off the area.

SP leader Akhilesh Yadav while reacting to the incident had said "When the government is not able to prevent a bull from entering the political programmes, how will it manage the troubles of farmers."

“We built the expressway in 21 months, but in the last 2 years people have been disturbed by 5 crore stray cattle," Akhilesh had said in his tweet.

Yogi Adityanath’s statement is being viewed as a retort at Akhilesh Yadav's bull comment.

He said that the major issues of naxalism and terrorism were boosted due to the misgovernance during the UPA regime. He claimed that BJP rule has kept the two problems at its lowest.
