As the election date in Karnataka draws closer, political parties are trying all means to woo the voters of the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party, that is in power in Karnataka released a remix of Oscar winning 'Naatu Naatu' song from the Telugu film 'RRR'. The remixed version of the song has replaced the lyrics of 'Natu Natu' with 'Modi Modi' and highlighted the achievements of its government in the state over the last five years.


In the video shared online, some people are seen dancing on the remixed song that emphasises on the work done by the BJP government in the last three years like the Shivamogga airport, the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway, the metro line and other welfare schemes.


Karnataka health minister K Sudhakar shared the video on twitter with the caption, "The efforts of our double engine @BJP4Karnataka government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi who are working to bring the development festival in Karnataka to the people through a wonderful song @BJYM is commendable."






Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said the first list of the BJP candidates for the May 10 Assembly elections will be released either on Tuesday or Wednesday, PTI reported.

"There was no confusion over the finalization of the list. It is likely to be released this evening, but since more discussions are to be held, it may be released on Tuesday or Wednesday," Bommai told reporters in Delhi.


Elections to the 224-member Karnataka Legislative Assembly will be held in single phase on May 10, while the counting of votes will be held on May 13.
