The BJP recorded their second-biggest win in Madya Pradesh by bagging a staggering 163 of 230 seats. The party's biggest-ever win came in 2003 when the saffron party won 173 seats.
The BJP, whose campaign was spearheaded by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiradtiya Scindia, handed a resounded defeat to Congress.

Congress leader Sandeep Dixit has lashed out at state leadership over the defeat the party is facing in Madhya Pradesh. He targeted Madhya Pradesh leadership, Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh and said that the time of MP's leadership is over and that their method is now outdated.
Dixit said the party lost an already-won election. He said that senior leaders did not give place to anyone and 'Ladli Behna' caused harm to Congress.
"Top leaders of our state could not counter Ladli Behna, I myself tried many times but no one listened to me."
MP Election Results: Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw says, "It's a massive victory for BJP (in Madhya Pradesh). People's faith on BJP reflects in today's results."

Congress calls for the next I.N.D.I.A bloc meeting on December 6. According to ANI, the party's national president Mallikarjun Kharge has dialled alliance partners for a meeting in Delhi.
