New Delhi: Taking a dig at Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Congress leader Kamal Nath said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is “embarrassed” to say that Chouhan is their CM face. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the former chief minister said, “The BJP is embarrassed with the fact that Shivraj Singh Chouhan is their chief ministerial face. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will come to Madhya Pradesh but will they be able to announce their CM face?”

The Congress leader was addressing the media a day ahead of PM Modi’s visit to the poll-bound state.

PM Modi will address the BJP workers in Bhopal to formally mark the culmination of the saffron party’s five Jan Ashirwad Yatras being held to reach out to the people before the state elections. This will be PM Modi’s third visit to Madhya Pradesh in the last 45 days.

Further taunting the incumbent chief minister over his claim that the BJP will register a “record win” in the upcoming polls, Kamal Nath said, “Has his (Shivraj Singh Chouhan's) prophecy ever turned out to be right? I have full faith in the people of Madhya Pradesh (about Congress' win in MP Assembly elections).”

Taking potshots at the BJP, Kamal Nath on Saturday accused the party of “ignoring” the problems of the unemployed and asserted that such a dispensation should be “kicked out” of power, news agency PTI reported.

“A government whose priority is not the youth must be kicked out. Chouhan has announced he will provide employment to one lakh youth. Even if he fills government posts, it would be enough. Under the BJP, a system of corruption has been developed from the panchayat level to the secretariat,” PTI quoted Nath as saying.

The Congress leader made the remarks while speaking at a 'Berozgar Mahapanchayat' in Indore.
