MP Election 2023: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday referred to Congress state chief Kamal Nath as 'rotela mukhyamatri' and said that the former CM used to cry over lack of money when he became CM in 2018. Chouhan said that Kamal Nath would say that Shivraj had taken all the money and would keep crying that he had no money left for any work in the state. The MP CM said this while addressing a rally in the state's Datia district.

Addressing Congress's rule in the state as one of intense crime and killings, Chouhan said that when he became CM, he told the police officers that either he or the criminals and dacoits would live in MP.

"When I became the CM, bullets, kidnapping, mass killings were there. Dacoits used to beat people up... After becoming the CM, I came to Gwalior and had a meeting with police officers and told them that either I or the dacoits would live in MP..." he said.

The CM praised Datia MLA and state Home Minister Narottam Mishra for developing the region and said that Mishra would always ask for more colleges and hospitals in cabinet meetings for Datia.

Attacking Congress during his speech, he said there's always destruction under grand old party's regime. "There is only destruction and wastage wherever the Congress comes into power... Kamal Nath took Chhindwara away but we took it back... He used to keep crying when he was the CM that he did not have any money..." he said.

He went on to say, "Rotela Mukhyamantri accha lagta hai kya (does it look good to have a CM who always cries)".

Madhya Pradesh will vote for the 230-seat assembly on November 17 while votes polled will be counted on December 3.
