New Delhi: A day after Election Commission announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections, Delhi Congress Chief Sheila Dikshit on Monday claimed that her party has won several battles and is ready to take on this one as well. Speaking on the ABP News C-voter Survey, where the number of seats bagged by UPA seemed to lag far behind that of NDA, former Delhi Chief Minister said “We don’t go by the survey. We have fought several battles; will win this one as well”.

On being further questioned on Congress’ preparedness for the polls, she said “Our party is big; there is no question of any doubt.”

Dikshit further reiterated her stand on possibilities of Congress-AAP alliance in Delhi, saying “We cannot say what will happen in politics, but for now there is no possibility of an alliance with AAP.”

As per a survey commissioned by ABP News-CVoter, The BJP-led NDA will fall marginally short of majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The ruling coalition is likely to win 264 out of the 543 seats and the Congress-led UPA is expected to clinch 141 seats, while the others are expected to win 138 seats.

The survey projection may bring a set back to the ruling NDA coalition as they seem to be falling eight short of the magical 272 mark and have to rely on post-poll tie-ups to form the government at the Centre.
