New Delhi: The nation is once again about to paint in saffron colour considering the ABP News exit polls, which show major victory for the Bharatiya Janta Party, along with its NDA allies in majority of the states.
BJP is projected to attain maximum number of seats in Madhya Pradesh that is 22 out of total 29 seats in the state. Though the party bagged more number of seats (27 seats) in the state in 2014 polls, the performance is significantly good these polls as well.
In Gujarat, BJP is likely to show its second best performance as the party is likely to bag 24 out of 26 seats in the state. In previous elections, BJP had won all the seats in Gujarat.
The party is likely to show its third best performance in Rajasthan, in spite of poor performance in the recent assembly elections. BJP is likely to attain 19 out of 25 seats in the state, as per the exit polls. The party had won all 25 seats in 2014.
In Karnataka, BJP is projected to win 15 out of total 28 seats. The party’s performance is likely to fall as per 2014 polls, where it won 17 seats.
BJP’s performance in Maharashtra is also likely to leave a mark. As per the exit poll prediction, the BJP, Shiv Sena alliance is likely to bag 34 seats in these polls, whereas the last time they got 23 out of 48 seats; where Sena lone bagged 18 seats.
The party is also likely to perform remarkably well in Bihar, though it will get lesser number of seats as compared to 2014 polls. As per the exit polls, BJP is to bag 17 out of 40 seats in the state, against 22 seats which were won in previous elections.
