New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party on Friday declared the names of its six candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.The party Veteran and former party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will be contesting the polls from Mainpuri seats.


Dharmendra Yadav will be fighting from Badaun, Akshay Yadav from Ferozabad, Kamlesh Thakeria from Etawah, Bhailal Kol from Robertsganj and Shabbir Valmiki from Bahraich.

Uttar Pradesh has 80 parliament seats and the party is yet to announce candidates for rest of the seats.



Even Congress on Thursday released the first list of candidates for Lok Sabha Election 2019.  The list includes the name of Sonia Gandhi who will contest elections from Rae Bareli while INC president Rahul Gandhi will fight from Amethi. Uttar Pradesh has 80 Lok Sabha seats out of which the Congress had won just two (Amethi and Raebareli) in 2014, while Gujarat has 26 seats and the Congress had drawn a blank in 2014.
