Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut, who is Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency, on Monday, addressed a public rally in Bajaura, located in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district. While addressing the public rally in Bajaura, Kangana Ranaut mocked the Congress former president and candidate from Wayanad and Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi, calling him "the cartoon of Congress".
Taking a jibe at him for his "childish acts", Kangana Ranaut stated: "The cartoon of Congress wants to grow potatoes on the moon, sometimes he sits in the lap of the Prime Minister. He holds the PM. He leaves when he is told that this is the temple of democracy and this behaviour is not appropriate. He winks on his way back. Who can forget those childish acts?..."
BJP's candidate from Mandi was holding an election rally in Kullu today as the country is undergoing polling under the phase four of Lok Sabha elections.
Previously, while addressing a public rally in Kullu in April, Kangana Ranaut hit out at the opposition, saying that the I.N.D.I.A bloc has no issues to fght for.
“New people and outsiders should be given a chance. In the film industry also, I had to struggle with dynasties. They (the INDIA alliance) are not able to decide on their candidate. They seem to be nervous and scared... They have no political issues left...," she said during the rally.
She was also cornered for “consuming beef", after which she dismissed those allegations, calling them “baseless rumours" and stressed that she is a “proud Hindu".
“I don’t consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me," sh e clarified.
