Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public rally held in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, emphasised the significance of Iqbal Ansari's presence at the Ram Mandir event, despite his family's historical association with the Babri Masjid case. PM Modi remarked, "Two generations of Ansari family fought for Babri Masjid, against Hindus in the court. Iqbal Ansari and his family fought the battle for centuries, but when the Supreme Court decided in favour of Hindus, even they welcomed the verdict."

The Prime Minister further noted that despite being on the opposing side of the legal battle, Iqbal Ansari attended the Ram Mandir event upon receiving an invitation from the Ram Mandir Trust. Modi highlighted this as a symbol of unity and acceptance in the wake of the Supreme Court's verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute.

Moreover, PM Modi took a swipe at the Opposition parties for their absence at the event, stating, "The Trust sent him an invitation for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, like Congress, Samajwadi Party and INDIA alliance leaders. After fighting against Ram Mandir for his life, he attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony", as quoted by news agency PTI.

Congress 'Yuvraj' Threatening That Country Will Be On Fire Afte Lok Sabha Election Results: PM Modi

In another address in Maharashtra's Wardha, PM Modi directed criticism towards the Congress party and its former president Rahul Gandhi. He accused the Congress of lacking confidence in winning the Lok Sabha elections and resorting to threats. "Congress knows it can not win elections, and hence, its 'yuvraj' threatens that the country will be on fire after (Lok Sabha) election results," remarked Modi, as quoted by PTI.

Highlighting the importance of the ongoing elections, Modi framed them as a choice between Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a developed and self-reliant India and the opposition's alleged lack of a coherent development agenda. He asserted, "Before 2014, there was a perception that there can be nothing good in India, there was despair everywhere. Now, filled with self-confidence, the country is looking forward to Modi's guarantees which has a roadmap and commitment."

PM Modi further accused the Congress and the INDIA alliance of being against development and farmers, contrasting their purported lack of vision with the BJP's agenda for progress. He criticized the opposition for resorting to insults and abuse instead of presenting constructive policies.

Additionally, Modi referenced the opposition's criticism of the 'Surya Tilak' ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya, labeling it as hypocrisy. The Prime Minister's remarks aimed to bolster support for the BJP and portray the opposition as lacking in both vision and credibility.
