George clarified that if the decision is finalized, it won't be termed as a merger in the traditional sense, considering his party's relatively small size. Instead, he likened it to a small stream joining a river, emphasizing the scale and significance of the alliance. This statement was made during interactions with news channels.

Having served for over 30 years as the representative of the Poonjar seat in the Kerala assembly, George spoke highly of Narendra Modi's leadership. He commended Modi as the most accomplished Prime Minister India has ever had and expressed the prevailing sentiment within his party ranks to support him.

When asked whether he would contest the Lok Sabha polls if he joined the BJP, he, as per PTI, said, "If the BJP asks me to contest, I will; if not, I won't."

George, a veteran politician and seven-time legislator, is currently holding the Poonjar constituency in Kottayam district. His dedicated service spans from 1982 to 1987 and from 1996 to 2022.
