Union Minister and BJP candidate from Ujiarpur Lok Sabha seat, Nityanand Rai said, "They are trying to alter reservation by providing it on the basis of religion... PM Narendra Modi has strengthened reservation", reported ANI.

In Delhi, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said, "It will be difficult for them to even cross 300 seats...After 5 phases of elections, we are seeing that people are upset with the government because there is unemployment, inflation... Congress will be in a better position than before. We will get good results in the North also", reported ANI.
While addressing a public rally in Punjab's Jalandhar, PM Modi said, "5 phases of elections have been completed in the country, tomorrow the sixth phase of elections... Those who were blowing balloons against BJP till yesterday, their balloons have also burst. Now no one wants to vote for the Congress and INDI alliance... From Kashmir to Kanniyakumari it has been decided 'Fir ek baar, Modi sarkar'", reported ANI.
While addressing a rally in Punjab's Gurdaspur, PM Narendra Modi said, "Saugandh mujhe is mitti ki, mai desh mitne nahi dunga. Mai desh nahi jhukne dunga, mai desh nahi rukne dunga", reported ANI.
During a rally in Jamtara, Jharkhand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren, of being corrupt and criticised their alliance with the Congress. Shah stated that Soren and other JMM leaders were essentially "sitting on Congress' lap" in their quest for power, reported PTI.
While addressing a public rally in Jharkhand's Dumka Lok Sabha constituency, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "... Modi Ji believes that the development of the country is not possible without the development of Jharkhand. PM Modi will also come here after two days and today I have come here, the reason behind this is that Sita Soren is the candidate from here. Wife of Durga Soren who was a participant in the Jharkhand, Sita Soren did not get justice... She carried the heritage of Durga Soren. I assure her that even though Hemant Soren did not do justice to you, BJP will give you justice", reported ANI.
Patna, Bihar: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, "Amit Shah only comes to make hatred trend in Bihar. He lies. The people of Bihar will not fall for his lies. Bihar will not follow the trend of lies and hatred, Bihar will follow the trend of jobs... What have they done for Bihar in the last 10 years?", reported ANI.
Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik says, "There is a limit to the amount of lies BJP can tell. As you can see I am in very good health and I have been campaigning all over the state for months."

Delhi Police Braces For Lok Sabha Polls With 'Massive' Force Deployment
The Delhi Police have rolled out extensive security measures to ensure smooth polling across the city as all the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital are set to go to the polls on May 25 (Saturday). According to IANS, with a strength of 60,000 personnel, including 51 companies of paramilitary forces and 13,500 home guards from three states, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, the national capital is all set for the polling day.
An official told the news agency that approximately 13,500 home guards from the three states along with 4,000 home guards from Delhi will be stationed at various locations on the polling day.
To maintain law and order, Delhi Police are not leaving any stone unturned, with the traffic police and PCR units also actively monitoring their respective areas. "Security on Delhi's borders has been ramped up with rigorous checking measures. We are also in constant touch with our counterparts in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh," a police officer was quoted as saying by IANS.
The deployment plan includes around 60,000 police personnel on the polling day, with at least 33,000 specifically tasked with guarding the 13,637 (2,891 critical) polling stations at 2,627 locations. Furthermore, the Delhi Police have earmarked the sensitive polling centres for extra surveillance, the report said.
The elections will cover all seven Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi -- East Delhi, New Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, West Delhi, and Chandani Chowk.
