Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar met Arvind Kejriwal's wife on Wednesday and assured that the two parties, allies of the I.N.D.I.A bloc, are together in this "fight against dictatorship". 


"This was a courtesy meeting. The kind of dictatorship going on in the country, anyone can be put in jail. I met her (Sunita Kejriwal) and said that we are together in this fight against dictatorship," Kumar said while speaking to reporters after the meeting. 






"We are not fighting elections on 4 seats but on 543 seats. Even in Delhi, we as INDIA alliance are contesting elections on 7 seats. We are fighting for the people of Delhi and not for a party or a candidate...," said the Congress candidate from North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. 


Sunita Kejriwal has taken the centre stage after her husband, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March in a money laundering case linked. 


She will campaign for the party candidates in Gujarat tomorrow, Thursday.

The AAP has fielded candidates in Bharuch and Bhavnagar in Gujarat, under a seat-sharing agrrement in an alliance with the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc constituent Congress.


"Sunita Kejriwal will participate in road shows of the party candidates in Bharuch and Bhavnagar seats on Thursday," the AAP said in a statement, according to a PTI report. 


Recently, she campaigned in East Delhi and West Delhi Lok Sabha seats where AAP has fielded its candidates.


She is also scheduled to campaign for AAP in Punjab and Haryana, the party said.
