Janata Dal (United) on Sunday (March 24) announced its list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in Bihar. As per the list, Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh has been fielded from the Munger constituency and Lovely Anand for Sheohar.

"The JD(U) has announced its candidates for all 16 seats (it is contesting in Bihar) today. There was no issue in deciding the seat-sharing formula and the candidates among the NDA partners. There was consensus over everything," said JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh at a press conference.

It is to be noted that the seats where sitting MPs have been dropped are Sitamarhi, where legislative council chairman Devesh Chandra Thakur will be the JD(U) candidate, and Siwan, where Vijay Laxmi Kushwaha received the ticket just a day after she joined the party along with her husband Ramesh Singh Kushwaha, who was the state president of Rashtriya Lok Morcha, an NDA ally.
