Lok Sabha Elections: The Lok Sabha Election 2024 is slated to begin nationwide on April 19 and will continue until June 1. The votes will be counted on June 4. There are certain things that the voters need to keep in check before going out to vote on the date of polling.
The voters should be aware that merely possessing a voter ID card doesn't ensure their ability to vote, as the electoral roll undergoes periodic changes. There are occasions when the voters discover their names missing or removed from the list due to various reasons. Prior to the elections, voters must confirm their inclusion in the electoral roll.
To ensure their inclusion in the electoral roll, voters must meet specific prerequisites. The prerequisites are: EPIC number, Name, Age, Date of birth, District, Assembly constituency.
To verify their name in the electoral roll, a voter must visit the 'Voters' Service Portal' by accessing electoralsearch.eci.gov.in on their mobile phones or computers on any web browser.
Once the voters access the portal, they can choose from the following search options:
Search By Details: Enter necessary details like Name, Surname, Date of Birth, etc. Then enter the CAPTCHA and click the 'Search' button.
Search By EPIC: Select language, enter the EPIC number (found on the voter ID), choose the state, input the CAPTCHA, and click on the 'Search' button.
Search By Mobile: Choose the state and language, then enter the mobile number registered with the voter ID, input the CAPTCHA, and click the 'Search' button.
