Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the construction of Ram Mandir started within five years after Narendra Modi was elected as the Prime Minister for the second term in 2019. Addressing a poll rally in Rajasthan's Bhilwara, Shah said that the court verdict, 'bhumi poojan' and 'pran pratishtha' for the Ram Mandir took place within five years after Modi was elected for a second time.

"Congress party stalled the issue of Ram Mandir. After you elected PM Modi as the Prime Minister for the second time, within five years- court verdict came, 'Bhumi Pujan' was done and 'Pran Pratishtha' was also done...," he said.

Addressing the rally, which comes a day after the first phase of Lok Sabha polls, Shah said that all the 12 seats in the first phase are in favour of Narendra Modi and that the state will give all the 25 Lok Sabha seat to Modi for a third time.

"The first phase of elections was held yesterday...All 12 seats of Rajasthan are in favour of PM Narendra Modi. Rajasthan is going to make a hat-trick by electing PM Narendra Modi for the third time," he said.

During his rally, Shah also targeted former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot saying that he was stuck in the election campaign of his son Vaibhav Gehlot, the Congress candidate from the Jalore seat.

He said that Vaibhav Gehlot is going to lose the elections by a huge margin.

Shah also hit out at Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, claiming that they go on vacations abroad every three months.

"Priyanka Gandhiji returned from Thailand after a vacation in the middle of the elections," he added.
