Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda will arrive in Karnataka on Monday (April 24) for a three-day visit ahead of the state Assembly elections. He will participate in a roadshow in Sidlaghatta, Chikkaballapura district. He will then pay a visit to the Sirsi temple in Uttara Kannada district and speak at several public gatherings, news agency ANI reported.
On Friday, the BJP ramped up its campaign for the Karnataka assembly elections, with party chief JP Nadda holding a roadshow and rally in Bidar and union home minister Amit Shah meeting with Karnataka BJP leaders.
At Shah's meeting with Karnataka BJP leaders, state chief minister Basavaraj Bommai was also present. Amit Shah is in Karnataka for three days as part of the BJP's preparations for the May 10 assembly elections. Due to inclement weather, Shah's roadshow in Devanahalli was cancelled.

Shah also shared a video of a local man wiping rainwater from prime minister Narendra Modi cutouts placed on the road to a proposed BJP roadshow in Devanahalli.
In the midst of the Karnataka political battle, PM Modi spoke by phone with Karnataka BJP leader and former minister KS Eshwarappa.
Nadda, who is in the state for two days, held a roadshow in Bidar on Friday to support party candidates.
He also spoke in front of a large crowd. "The BJP has always worked with a sense of commitment to the betterment of society," he said, "whereas the Congress has a long history of interfering with social welfare schemes established by either the Centre or previous BJP governments," he added further.
With a 'guru-shishya' type flavour to the fight between two prominent Lingayat leaders, the battle in the Hubli-Dharwad Central constituency is set to get more interesting.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Mahesh Tenginkai as a candidate to replace former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, who was denied the ticket. Shettar has become a member of Congress. Tenjinakai had sought the blessings of Jagadish Shettar before filing his nomination for the seat on April 18.
