Leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party will stage a protest on Wednesday in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi against the objectionable social media post by Congress leader Supriya Shrinate against BJP candidate and actor Kangana Ranaut, as per ABP News sources.
The row erupted after the saffron party fielded Ranaut from Mandi Lok Sabha seat for the upcoming elections following which objectionable posts were shared against her by some members of the Congress party including Shrinate. Although, the Congress leader issued a clarification later saying that many people have access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts and someone from them made the inappropriate post.
"As soon as I came to know, I deleted that post. Everyone who knows me, also knows very well that I can never make personal and indecent comments towards any woman. I wanted to know how this happened," Shrinate said.

On Tuesday, the saffron party's Himachal Pradesh unit filed a complaint with the state's chief electoral officer and sought legal action against Congress leaders Supriya Shrinate and HS Ahir over demeaning remarks against Ranaut posted on their social media handles.
In its complaint, the BJP said that the Congress leaders have misused social media to try and demean its Lok Sabha candidate.
"These remarks, derogatory and sexually oriented, which undermine the dignity of a woman are also in violation of the mandatory guidelines of the Model Code of Conduct," the complaint stated, as per PTI.

"These individuals used vile and vulgar language on social media platforms against Kangana Ranaut which is also a clear infringement of her right to dignity and decency as envisaged in Chapter III of the Constitution of India," the party said.
The saffron camp also accused the Congress leaders of intending to assassinate Ranaut's character, adding that the highly objectionable and indecent statements clearly show that the Congress has no respect towards the law of the land.
