I.N.D.I.A Bloc Rally In Ranchi: I.N.D.I.A bloc organised a mega rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Sunday. Key leaders from the opposition bloc attended the gathering, named, ‘Ulgula (uprising) Nyay’ rally. The event was also attended by Sunita Kejriwal, wife of jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The rally aimed to highlight the recent arrests of Arvind Kejriwal, and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Addressing I.N.D.I.A bloc's Ulgulan Nyay rally in Ranchi, JMM leader and wife of ex-Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Kalpana Soren accused the Modi government of adopting a "step-motherly attitude" towards states where there is a non-BJP government, news agency PTI reported.

She conveyed a message from her husband Hemant Soren, who is currently incarcerated, stating, "Non-BJP states are being troubled. We have not begged for this country. Countless sacrifices have been made to attain this nation."

She further lamented, "The people of this country have been shown big dreams with great cunningness, and dust has been thrown into the eyes of the people. The youth, women, and tribals of this country have been deceived. The opposition's voice is being crushed. Today, the democracy of this country is in danger. When we demand our rights, we are thrown into jail."

Jharkhand CM Champai Soren, meanwhile, claimed, “The BJP wants to erase the history, existence and pride of Jharkhand. In these elections, you have to choose an MP who speaks about the state's issues in the Parliament. However, when BJP’s MPs go to Delhi, they do not say a single word on saving Buran Rights Act.”

PM Modi, BJP Cannot Break Our 'Shakti': Congress President Kharge In I.N.D.I.A's Ranchi Rally

Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge contended that Kejriwal and Soren had done no wrong but were being pressurised.

"PM Modi has arrested two of our CMs (Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren). Hemant Soren had done no wrong, but there was a lot of pressure on him. The BJP warned him that he would be jailed if he forms an alliance with the INDIA bloc. Hemant Soren is a courageous man, and he went to jail but didn't leave the (INDIA) alliance," he said.

"They keep saying 500, 400 (seats). But this time, the 'Shakti' of the alliance is so strong that whether it is PM Modi or whoever, the people of BJP cannot break our Shakti. We are that strong. They are trying to scare us. But we will not get scared if Hemant (Soren) is sent to jail," he added. as quoted by news agency ANI.

'They Want To Kill Delhi's CM': Sunita Kejriwal In I.N.D.I.A's Ranchi Rally

Addressing the gathering, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal accused the Modi government of practicing 'dictatorship' as she said, "They've put Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren in jail. They've put them in jail without them being proven guilty. This is a dictatorship. What is the fault of my husband? Is it providing good education, health facilities? Patriotism is in his blood. He is an IITan, he could've gone abroad, but he prioritises patriotism. As IRS, he took leaves to do public service. He has put his life at stake for people."

"Arvind Kejriwal has no desire for power. He just wants to serve the nation. He wants to make the country no.1... Many people say that this is difficult. 'Jail ke taale tutenge, Arvind Kejriwal, Hemant Soren chhutenge..(The locks of jails will break. Arvind Kejriwal, Hemant Soren will be freed," she added.

Sunita Kejriwal commented on the Delhi Chief Minister's demand for insulin in jail alleging a plot to "kill him", "Politics is a very dirty thing. There is a camera on his food. Every morsel is being monitored... He is a sugar patient and he ha has been taking 50 units of insulin every day for the last 12 years. But he is not being given insulin in jail. They want to kill Delhi's CM. They cannot understand Arvind Kejriwal's thoughts... He is very brave. He is a lion... He is worried about 'Bharat Mata' even in jail", as quoted by ANI.

RJD leader and former Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav accused PM Modi of being afraid of I.N.D.I.A bloc. "They (BJP-led NDA) are raising the slogan of '400 paar'. However, PM Modi's '400 paar' film flopped on day 1 of the (Lok Sabha) polls," he claimed.

Notably, two empty chairs, one for jailed Delhi CM Kejriwal and the other for former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren - were kept on stage at the I.N.D.I.A. bloc's mega rally in Ranchi.

"The leaders of the BJP are speaking of finishing the Constitution again and again. It is a Constitution written by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, not by some random Baba. No one has the power to change it... In Bihar also, their ministers and candidates are saying constantly that they will finish the Constitution. The people of the country will finish you," he remarked, as quoted by ANI.

Referring to Soren and Kejriwal's arrests, AAP leader Sanjay Singh remarked, "Two Viranganas are sitting here - Kalpana Soren and Sunita Kejriwal. When they can come out, we should also come out. The people who congregated here want to give a message to defeat PM Modi. I was in jail for 6 months, Arvind Kejriwal is in jail, Hemant Soren is in jail. We are not scared. Adivasis threw Britishers out."

"Narendra Modi speaks against corruption. He put Hemant Soren, Arvind Kejriwal in jail under false accusations. When he speaks on corruption, it looks as if Osama Bin Laden and Gabbar Singh are preaching non-violence. A Modi washing powder has come which cleans all your corruptions. Their slogan is 'Jo jitna bada bhrashtachari, wo utna bada padadhikari," he further remarked, as quoted by PTI.

He further hit out at the BJP for putting "fake" narratives of their poll targets, saying "'400 paar' slogan is farzi. This time you should tell them 'Tadi paar, tadi paar'", as quoted by ANI.

The venue was adorned with posters featuring leaders from the I.N.D.I.A bloc, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, Hemant Soren, and Kalpana Soren, set the stage for a unified opposition front.

Ahead of the rally, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren had stressed the need to “combat authoritarianism” and “uphold democratic values”.

In solidarity, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “We are together in this fight against BJP's growing autocracy. They are not allowing the opposition to function properly; what they are trying to do is to silence the opposition”.
