Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the Opposition comparing its "appeasement of its vote bank" to mujra. He said that the Congress and RJD want to quota of reservations meant for the SC, ST, and OBC communities and give it to those who want to commit 'vote jihad'.
"Your rights have been looted. The quota for the SC, ST, and OBC communities have been reduced by the I.N.D.I Alliance and given to their 'vote jihad' vote bank. Earlier, children from these communities would get a lot of benefits from reservations during [educational] admissions. But the Opposition snatched their rights and gave it to Muslims by going against the Constitution," he said.
Addressing a public meeting in Bihar's Pataliputra, PM Modi said: "I.N.D.I Alliance ko apni vote bank ki ghulami karni hai to kare, unko wahaan jake mujra karna hai to bhi kare [if the I.N.D.I Alliance wants to become a slave of its vote bank, or perform mujra, let it]. I shall stand for the reservation of SC, ST, and OBC till my last breath," PM Modi said.
On the poll campaign trail for the final phase of elections, PM Modi further said that another conspiracy of the I.N.D.I.A had been "exposed" by the Calcutta High Court. "The I.N.D.I. Alliance leaders have given OBC status to 77 Muslim castes in Bengal. After which, the benefits in government jobs that candidates from OBC and SC communities should have got went to the 77 Muslim castes." he said.
Opposition Wants 5 PMs From 5 Families In 5 Years: PM Modi
He further said the Opposition bloc, I.N.D.I.A wants five Prime Ministers from five families in five years. He said the five contenders would be the scions of five political families — Gandhis of Congress, Pawars of NCP, Banerjees of TMC, Thackerays of Shiv Sena (UBT), and Yadavs of RJD.
Taking a dig at the Opposition's claims of EVM manipulations to favour the BJP, PM Modi said that such claims are the first "exit polls" of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. "When the I.N.D.I Alliance people start abusing EVMs while sleeping, you should understand that the exit polls have come in favour of the NDA. June 4 will see a record being made," he said.
