Arvind Kejriwal, who has been in ED custody since March 21, faces allegations of direct involvement in a conspiracy related to the formulation of excise policy favouring specific individuals. The Chief Minister's custody has been extended until April 1 by a Delhi court. Additionally, the probe agency has also accused him of being the "kingpin and key conspirator" in the now-scrapped excise policy scam and of soliciting kickbacks from liquor traders in exchange for favors. The agency further alleged that the kickbacks received by Kejriwal from the traders were utilised to influence state assembly elections in Punjab and Goa.
