Hyderabad Lok Sabha Seat: Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana is one of the key seats in the state. The constituency is poised to witness a fierce contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the AIMIM. The saffron party has fielded Madhavi Latha to challenge the dominance of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi in the region.

In the previous elections, Owaisi has registered significant victories in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat making it his party's stronghold. The constituency witnesses the strong influence of the minority vote bank on the electoral results. The region predominantly has a strong Muslim population.

Since the first Lok Sabha election held on the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, the constituency has witnessed a tough fight between the AIMIM and the Congress, which have been the primary contenders. In the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, however, the BJP, which has echoed the slogan of ‘400 paar’ during the poll campaigning, is aiming to make inroads in the region. The saffron party has fielded Madhavi Latha to challenge Owaisi.

Latha is a newcomer to politics. Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a roadshow in her constituency, seeking votes for her. How big a challenge Madhavi Latha poses for the AIMIM chief is something only time will tell.

I.N.D.I.A And NDA Go Neck-And-Neck In Telangana, Says ABP CVoter

In Telangana, where there were once strongholds of BRS, the party is now projected to secure no seats. The void is expected to be filled by both the I.N.D.I.A and NDA alliances, with similar projections.

The I.N.D.I.A bloc is anticipated to secure 7 to 9 seats with a vote share of 38.6%, while the NDA is predicted to garner 7 to 9 seats with a vote share of 33%. BRS is expected to secure 20.3% of the vote share, while AIMIM is likely to capture 2% of the overall vote share in the state.

During the run-up for elections, a notable trend emerged with several BRS workers shifting allegiance to either Congress or BJP. Moreover, some candidates initially announced on behalf of BRS defected from the party and were nominated as candidates for BJP or Congress, directly challenging BRS candidates.
