With Congress winning the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, the polls have been concluded in the hill state. Of the 68-members of Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Congress clinched 40 seats while the Bharatiya Janata Party bagged 25 seats and three seats went to Independent candidates.
In terms of party-wise vote share, Congress took over BJP with a very bleak margin of 0.9 per cent as the former received 43.90 per cent votes and the latter 43.0 vote share. Others got a vote share of 10.39 per cent followed by Aam Aadmi Party with 1.1 per cent, Communist Party of India (Marxist) 0.66 per cent, NOTA 0.59 per cent, Bahujan Samaj Party 0.35 per cent, and Communist Party of India 0.01 per cent.
Following are the constituencies with a thin vote margin
Bhoranj: BJP’s Anil Dhiman won this seat with a margin of just 60 votes. Dhiman got 24,719 votes followed by Congress’ Suresh Kumar who got 24,779 votes.
Sri Naina Deviji: BJP’s Randhir Sharma led from this seat with a vote margin of 171 against Congress’ Ram Lal Thakur. Sharma received 29,403 while Thakur got 29,232 votes.
Bilaspur: Congress’ Bumber Thakur, with 30,712 votes won this seat with a margin of 276 votes against BJP’ Trilok Jamwal who got 30,988 votes.

Shillai: BJP’s Baldev Singh, with 31,711 votes led with a margin of 382 votes against Congress’ Harshwardhan Chauhan with 32,093 votes.
Sujanpur: Congress’ Rajinder Singh won this seat with a margin of just 399 votes. Singh got 27,679 votes followed by BJP’s Ranjit Singh Rana who got 27,280 votes.
Rampur: Congress’ Nand Lal, with 28,379 votes won this seat with a margin of 567 votes against BJP’ Kaul Singh who got 27,830 votes
Darang: BJP’s Puran Chand, with 36,572 votes led with a margin of 618 votes against Congress’ Kaul Singh with 35,954 votes.
