The Aam Aadmi Party released its fifth and sixth list of candidates for the upcoming assembly polls in Haryana. The party announced candidates for nine seats in the fifth list and 19 names in the sixth list for the October 5 polls.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led party started rolling out the list of candidates after it failed to stitch an alliance with its INDIA bloc ally Congress. The two parties decided to contest the elections on their own after their talks on seat-sharing arrangements couldn't reach a common consensus. While the Aam Aadmi Party demanded to contest 10 of 90 assembly seats, Congress wanted to offer only seven and after a brief impasse, the two parties parted ways to fight polls in the state.

Joga Singh has been fielded by the party from the Ladwa constituency under the Kurukshetra district from where Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will also test his political might.

Julana assembly constituency under Jind district will see a political fight between two grapplers as AAP pits wrestler Kavita Dalal against Olympic champion Vinesh Phogat from the Congress party.
